Patrick Harvie

Patrick Harvie ( born March 18, 1973 in the region of Vale of Leven, Dunbartonshire ) is a Scottish politician and member of the Scottish Green Party.

Harvie studied at the Dumbarton Academy and the Manchester Metropolitan University. He then worked for homosexuals in youth work a charity.

At the 2003 parliamentary elections Harvie appeared as leading candidate of the Scottish Green Party in the election Glasgow area, and could be just one of the seven mandates. This he defended in the parliamentary elections of 2007 and 2011. Besides environmental issues, he is also actively involved in the topics of homosexuality, as well as asylum seekers and refugees. Since 2008 Harvie, along with Eleanor Scott Chairman of the Scottish Green Party.
