Patrick Howald

Patrick Howald ( born December 26, 1969 in Bern ) is a former Swiss ice hockey player who played during his playing career for the SC Bern and HC Lugano and Fribourg- Gottéron in the National League A and with the city of Berne four times won the Swiss championship.

Career

The acting in the position of left winger Patrick Howald played in 1986 for the SC Bern of the National League A. Howald, who had quickly established itself as a regular player, won with the City Club of Berne in the 1988/89 season, his first Swiss Championship under head coach Bill Gilligan. It was followed by the title wins in 1991 and 1992. After six years in the dress of the SC Bern of the links Sagittarius left the Bernese and moved to Lugano, for whom he played two seasons. During this time, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1993 in the eleventh round at a total of 276 position by the Los Angeles Kings. Internationally

Howald completed a total of 119 caps for Switzerland and represented his country at several world championships. In addition, he participated for the Eisgenossen at the Olympic Winter Games in 1992, where he ran aground in seven games and scored four goals and three assists.
