Patrick Kohlmann

Patrick Kohlmann ( born February 25, 1983 in Dortmund ) is a German - Irish football player.

Career

In the club

The son of a German father and an Irish mother, grew up in the district of Dortmund Wickede and thus began at BV Westfalia Wickede playing football. Later he joined the youth team of the TSC Eintracht Dortmund before moving to Borussia Dortmund in 1993. BVB Kohlmann remained 14 years in which he made ​​the jump from youth in the second men's team. With the Dortmund amateurs he played from 2002 to 2007 in the Regionalliga Nord, with the exception of the 2005/06 season, when the team was relegated to the Oberliga Westfalen.

In the season 2004/ 05 Kohlmann succeeded in rising to the first team of the Bundesliga and he celebrated in November 2004, his debut in the first team. In the match against 1.FC Kaiserslautern he stood in the starting line-up, but was replaced at half-time due to a serious knee injury.
