Patrick Meier

Patrick Meier ( born March 15, 1976 in Winterthur ) is a former Swiss figure skater, who started in a single run. He is now coach at Winterthur skating club.

Meier began at the age of six years with the figure skating. He was coached by Christina Persico. His home club was the Winterthur skating club. Meier was the first Swiss man who was able to show a triple axel in competition. He succeeded when Karl Schäfer Cup 1995.

Meier was seven times Swiss champion in the period from 1992 to 2000. In the period from 1992 to 2004, he participated in the World Championships eight and ten European Championships. His best results in these tournaments were the 16th place at the 2001 World Championships and the tenth place at the European Championship in 1999. Meier 1998 denied his single Olympics and finished it on the 22nd place.

Patrick Meier studied law at the University of Zurich.
