Patrick Pillay

Patrick Georges Pillay is a politician of the Seychelles.

Biography

Pillay was several times a member of the Government of Seychelles. In 1991 he was Minister of Education. In August 1998, he served as Minister of Youth and Culture participants in the World Conference of Youth Ministers. Most recently, he was Minister of Health.

On 12 February 2005 he was appointed by President James Alix Michel on the new Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. In this role he was also governor of the Seychelles in the African Development Bank ( ADB) and as such hosts of the 43rd annual meeting. On 2 September 2009, he resigned from his position as Foreign Minister back. In 2010 he took up his new post as High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.
