Patrick Singleton

Patrick Singleton ( born August 15, 1974) is a bermudischer Skeleton driver and former luger.

Patrick Singleton studied journalism and communications at Elon University in North Carolina.

Luge

In 1998 he qualified for the Olympic luge competition in Nagano, Japan. During the Games, Patrick was a sports reporter for the largest newspaper in the world, the Yomiuri Shimbun in Tokyo, hired. Later he moved to Bloomberg Television, and worked in Tokyo and London. During his time in Japan he trained on the track in Nagano. In 2002, Patrick qualified for the Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City. Again, he took part in sledge race. During an official training, he drove the fastest times.

Skeleton

Shortly after the games, he moved from luge to skeleton. In the very first season, he qualified for the FIBT Skeleton World Championships. In the season 2004/ 05 Singleton won two races, reached the fourth place three times and participated in the World Cup. He was athlete of the year in Bermuda in late 2005. In the 2005/06 season he coached together with the British Olympic team. At the Olympic Winter Games in Turin in 2006 he participated in the skeleton competition.
