Patrick St-Eloi

Patrick Saint- Eloi, called PSE ( born October 20, 1958 in Guadeloupe; † 18 September 2010 in Pointe -à- Pitre ) was a guadeloupischer musicians and singers.

Patrick Saint- Eloi, an admirer of Nat King Cole and Harry Belafonte, was at the age of 17 years to Paris and took singing lessons there. Earlier in his career he was twenty years from 1982 a member of the world's touring Zouk group Kassav '. At the same time he brought in 1985 a solo album called Mizik Sé Lanmou out. With the title "West Indies", he was the epitome of the musical style Zouk Love. In 2002 he made his exit with Kassav ' and return to Guadeloupe, where he focused exclusively on his solo career. PSE, the only sang henceforth in Creole, so was the " voice of the Antilles". He died on 18 September 2010 due to a cancerous condition.
