Patsy Guzzo

Patrick " Patsy " Guzzo ( born October 14, 1917 in Ottawa, Ontario, † 1993) was a Canadian ice hockey player. At the Olympic Winter Games in 1948 he won the gold medal as a member of the Canadian national team.

Career

Patsy Guzzo began his career as a hockey player 1933 Ottawa Westboro. From 1935 to 1939 he was active for Ottawa LaSalle. He then spent three years at the Hull valances. In the following years he played for several different teams in the amateur field. In the season of 1948 he took part with the RCAF Flyers at the Winter Olympics. After the tournament, he remained for two more years at the RCAF Flyers, before he ended his career and a shop in Ottawa led.

Internationally

For Canada Guzzo participated in the Olympic Winter Games in 1948 in part in St. Moritz, where he won the gold medal with his team. In eight games, he scored five goals and seven assists.
