Paul Adderley

Paul Lawrence Adderley ( born August 15, 1928 in Nassau, Bahamas; † September 19, 2012 ) was a politician of the Bahamas.

Biography

Adderley was called to the sovereignty of the Bahamas from the United Kingdom on 10 July 1973 by Prime Minister Lynden O. Pindling as Foreign Minister and Attorney-General in his government. In 1984, Clement T. Maynard him as Foreign Minister. In a cabinet reshuffle, he retired in 1989 as Attorney General, but was then from 1990 to the end of Pindlings term on 21 August 1992 Minister of Finance.

He most recently served as the successor to Dame Ivy Dumont from 1 December 2005 until the inauguration of Arthur Dion Hanna on 1 February 2006 Office of the Governor General of the Bahamas.
