Aguilar grew up in northwestern Mexico; an area where the baseball is sometimes more popular than football. The young Aguilar was an avid baseball player until he discovered his love at the age of twelve years of football. At age 16, he lingered after Pachuca de Soto to play in the youth teams of the CF Pachuca. In this club he received in 2005 his first professional contract and made his debut on August 6, 2006 in a game against Cruz Azul (2:3) in the Mexican Primera División.

With Pachuca he was Mexican champion of the Clausura 2007 ( 2006/ 07 ) and three times winner of the CONCACAF Champions ' Cup in 2007, 2008 and 2010. 2008, he was also at the games at the FIFA Club World Cup for use.

National

His debut in the Mexican national team, he celebrated on 30 September 2009 in a match against Colombia (1:2), where he immediately scored his first international goal. Already in his second match against Bolivia (5-0 ) on February 24, 2010, he scored his second international goal.
