Paul Byron

Paul Byron (* April 27, 1989 in Ottawa, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player standing since 2011 with the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League under contract and playing in parallel for their farm team in Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League.

Career

Paul Byron began his career as a hockey player with the Olympiques de Gatineau, for which he was active in the Canadian Junior Football League QMJHL 2006-2009. With his team he won in the 2007/ 08 season, the Coupe du Président, the champion of the QMJHL. A year later he was elected to the second all-star team in the league. During his junior time the center in the NHL Entry Draft in 2007 was selected in the sixth round as the 179th overall player of the Buffalo Sabres. At their farm team Portland Pirates he was two years starting players in the American Hockey League. He also stood in the 2010/11 season in eight games for the Buffalo Sabres on the ice, where he has ever scored a goal and an assist.

In June 2011, Byron was transferred from the Buffalo Sabres to Calgary Flames for their AHL farm team Abbotsford Heat, he is primarily intended to be used. In November 2013 he was first appointed to the 2013/14 season in the NHL squad.
