Paul Cameron (cinematographer)
Paul Cameron ( * May 30, 1958 in Montreal ) is a Canadian cinematographer.
Life
Born in Canada, grew up on Cameron in New York City. He studied at the State University of New York. From the early 1980s he worked as a camera assistant and easier cameraman and worked as such at some concert films and documentaries with. Since 1986 he has worked as an independent cameraman. He was involved in the production of several music videos and commercials and is even active as a director in the advertising industry.
For the work on Collateral ( 2004) Cameron and his colleague Dion Beebe were awarded the 2005 British Academy Film Award for Best Cinematography. Moreover, the two were at the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards in 2004, an award that also for the best camera work.
Since 2006 he is member of the American Society of Cinematographers.
