Paul Cavallini

Paul Edward Cavallini ( born October 13, 1965 in Toronto, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player (defender) who played from 1986 to 1995 for the Washington Capitals, St. Louis Blues and the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League.

Career

As a junior he played for the Henry Carr Crusaders in the OHA -B. NHL Entry Draft 1984 Washington Capitals picked him in the 10th round as the 205th 's younger brother Gino Cavallini played one more year for the Providence College in the NCAA. It was followed by a year with the Canadian national team, and the end of the season he joined the farm team of the Capitals, the Binghamton Whalers in the AHL.

At the end of the 1986/87 season, which he had begun in Binghamton, he came to Washington with his first six missions in the NHL. The next season he started with the Capitals, but the St. Louis Blues who had been his brother Gino under contract, also brought Paul. The strong defensive back had his best years in St. Louis. In the 1989/90 season he reached his personal best with 47 points. In that year he also won the plus / minus rating.

Shortly after the start of the 1992/93 season, the Washington Capitals brought him back, but already in the following season he moved to the Dallas Stars. After two years and eight games in the third season, he declared on 7 November 1995, the end of his career.
