Paul Cayard

Paul Pierre Cayard ( born May 19, 1959) is an American sailor who has taken part in many sailing competitions. Among them are five America's Cup participations, the Volvo Ocean Race and two appearances at the Olympics. He won seven world titles in sailing. In 1998 he was elected to the Rolex Yachtsman of the Year. He was elected into the Sailing World Hall of Fame in 2002.

After a few years without America's Cup participations Paul Cayard is now required for the Spanish team Desafio Espaniol as skipper and helmsman.

In 2007 he founded together with Russell Coutts and João Lagos, the World Sailing League.
