Paul de Lamerie

Paul de Lamerie (* 1688, † 1751 ) was one of the best known English goldsmith of his generation. Lame Ries Huguenot parents had left France after the Edict of Fontainebleau ( 1685). At first they lived in the Republic of the Seven United Provinces and then moved to London in 1691. Lamerie is known to work since the 1730s in the Rococo style.

He opened his store in 1712 and was appointed by George I in 1716 as a goldsmith.
