Paul Frommelt

Paul Frommelt ( born August 9, 1957 in Schaan ) is a former ski racer from Liechtenstein.

Life

He was in the 1970s and 1980s to successful Liechtenstein ski team to the siblings Andrew and Hanni Wenzel. The slalom specialist won four World Cup slaloms and each at the 1978 World Cup in Garmisch -Partenkirchen and at the 1988 Olympic Games in Calgary the bronze medal in the slalom. Early in his career he had already won the bronze medal at the Junior European Championships 1975 in the Slalom. In 2008, he was honored for his sporting achievements with the Golden bay leaf. Frommelt was seven times elected to Liechtenstein Sportsman of the Year.

His older brother Willi Frommelt had also been active as a ski racer. His older brother Peter Frommelt took to Liechtenstein among others to the World Table Tennis Championship 1989 in Dortmund and the World Table Tennis Championships in Bremen in 2006 in part.
