Paul Gottfried

Paul Edward Gottfried ( born November 21, 1941) is an American political scientist, historian, philosopher and author. He is considered the Paläokonservatismus.

Life

Paul Gottfried studied at Yeshiva University (Bachelor, 1963 ;) and Yale University (Master, 1965). His Ph.D. he acquired in 1967. Thereafter, he was an assistant professor at Case Western Reserve University and New York University. In 1974 he became professor of history at Rockford College. He was from 1989 Horace Raffensperger Professor of Humanities at Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania. He is a lecturer at the Ludwig von Mises Institute. He is also President of the HL Mencken Club and a member of the Società Libera.
