Paul Hartal
Paul Hartal (* 1936 in Szeged, Hungary ) is a Canadian painter and poet.
He coined the term lyrical Konzeptionismus, which he characterizes his style in painting and poetry. And he wrote down a manifesto describing his theory in detail.
Life
Hartal immigrated to Israel in 1957 and moved in 1973 further to Montreal. 1964 Bachelor of Arts, he was awarded at the University of Jerusalem, the Master of Arts received in 1977 from Concordia University. For Ph.D. in Education and Art, he earned his doctorate at Columbia Pacific University in San Rafael, California in 1986. In 1987, the Centre for Art Hartal, Science, and Technology in Montreal.
Hartal paints in the expressionist style with additional elements from the photograph.
