Paul Marie Alfred Lebeau ( born December 19, 1868 in Boiscommun, † November 18, 1959 in Massy ) was a French chemist.

Life

Paul Lebeau studied since 1885 at the École supérieure de physique et de chimie de la ville de Paris industrial. After his graduation in 1888, he collaborated with Henri Moissan of fluorine compounds, 1891, he had a lab location below ETARD Alexandre ( 1852-1910 ). In parallel with the laboratory work, he received in 1898 a Ph.D. in natural sciences at the Sorbonne and in 1899 a degree in pharmacy. In 1900 he moved to the scientific Faktultät, where he was appointed professor. During the First World War Lebeau worked on improvements of gas masks.

From 1918 he was Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the Faculté de Pharmacie de Paris, where he remained until his retirement in 1933.
