Paul Leka

Paul Leka ( born February 20, 1943 in Bridgeport ( Connecticut ), † October 12, 2011 in Sharon (Connecticut) ) was an American songwriter, pianist and arranger.

Life

The son of Albanian emigrants and Dhimitra Theodore Leka took piano hours and tried at the age of 16 years, his self-penned songs to sell. In the 1960s he played in the group The Chateaus, which also included Gary DeCarlo and Dale Frashuer. He later wrote songs for other groups, such as The Lemon Pipers and The Peppermint Rainbow.
