Paul Manning (ice hockey)

Paul Manning ( born April 15, 1979 in Red Deer, Alberta ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who was most recently at the Hannover Scorpions of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga under contract.

Career

Manning began his career in 1997 at Colorado College, for which he took part in the match operation of U.S. college sports organization National Collegiate Athletic Association. There Manning played four years and could have as a defender relatively good statistics, so it chose the Calgary Flames during the NHL Entry Draft in 1998 in the third round at a total of 62 point, but transferred shortly after the Draft to the Columbus Blue Jackets.

For the season 2001 /02 Manning subsequently moved to farm team of the Blue Jackets, the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League. After he performed well there, the Canadians could prove in the 2002/03 season in the National Hockey League, but he was only eight inserts for Columbus. In summer 2003, Manning finally signed a contract with the Hamburg Freezers, for those in the German Ice Hockey League, he went on the ice until the 2009/10 season. After the 2009/10 season it was revealed that Manning plays in return for Garrett Festerling from the 2010/11 season for the Hannover Scorpions. In spring 2012, the Canadians ended his active career.
