Paul Mauffray

Paul Mauffray ( born December 16, 1968 USA) is an American conductor.

Mauffray studied at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts at Louisiana State University, from the Justus Liebig University ( Giessen), Masaryk University ( Brno ), and he was Dirigierdozent and assistant conductor at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University.

Mauffray was also involved in the Czech Republic at the Prague National Theatre and the National Theatre in Brno and he also acted as assistant to Sir Charles Mackerras at the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra in the recording of Janáček, Antonín Dvořák's Rusalka and Káťa Kabanová. He also worked at the Salzburg Festival and at the Theater an der Wien as a conductor.

In 2010 he was engaged at the Opera Naţională in Bucharest ( Romania) and 2011 Valery Gergiev invited him one to lead soloists and orchestra rehearsal at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg ( Russia).
