Paul Meier (athlete)

Paul Meier ( born July 27, 1971 in Velbert, Mettmann ) is a former German track and field athlete and Olympian, who was a successful decathlete in the 1990s. In the 1992 Olympics he finished sixth at the world championships 1993 he finished third. Paul Meier was the TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen at. At a size of 1.96 m, it had a competition weight of 92 kg. Meier finished his sports career in 1999.

Paul Meier was a project engineer for plastics engineering and has been working since 2005 in key account management of a software company. On 30 April 2004 he married the former high jumper Heike Henkel, with whom he has a daughter.
