Paul-Mounged El-Hachem

Paul Mounged El- Hachem ( born September 8, 1934 in Akoura ) is a Roman Catholic archbishop.

El- Hachem was ordained priest on 28 March 1959 and worked for years as such in Lebanon. Pope John Paul II conferred him on December 11, 1978 the honorary title of Chaplain of His Holiness ( Monsignor ).

On June 10, 1995, they appointed El- Hachem, succeeding Philippe Boutros Chebaya as Maronite Eparchy Bishop of Baalbek - Deir El -Ahmar, Lebanon, Nasrallah Pierre Sfeir and led him solemnly on 13 September of the same year in his office a. His successor in Baalbek was Simon Atallah.

With effect from 27 August 2005 he was named El- Hachem Titular Archbishop of Darnis and he thus became the successor of Raffaele Baratta.

On the same day (27 August 2005) he was called El- Hachem to the apostolic nuncio to Kuwait, Bahrain, Yemen, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. On 2 December 2009 he was given emeritus status according to age.
