Paul Papp ( born November 11, 1989 in Dej ) is a Romanian football player. The center-back has since the summer of 2012 when Chievo Verona under contract, but is currently on Astra Giurgiu borrowed.

Career

Papp began playing football at the age of ten years at Luceafarul Dej in his hometown. In 2006 he moved to Unirea Dej, which in the second Romanian league, the Liga II, played and was initially trained by George Ciorceri and from September 2006 Dorel Mureşan. In his first season he only came on a few missions, but the club remained intact even after its decline in 2007. In the following League III season, he became the master force, but missed with his club 's re-emergence clear.

In summer 2008, Papp Dej left and moved to FC Botosani in the League II After only half a year took him the playing in Liga 1 team of FC Vaslui under contract. There he came in the second half of 2008/ 09 only on a bet and was loaned to the start of the 2009/10 season for half a year at Farul Constanta in the Liga II. After his return to Vaslui he established himself as a regular player and finished the season with his team from third place. At the same time he moved into the Cup final, but it lost to the CFR Cluj in the penalty shootout. The season 2011/12 he graduated with his club from as runner-up, which he in turn CFR Cluj had to let go first. In summer 2012 the Italian first division side AC Chievo Verona took him under contract. First, where he could not prevail, until the end of the 2012/13 season he came frequently to the course and scored 31 on matchday against Udinese Calcio his first goal for Chievo.

National

In February 2011, Papp was appointed to the levy of the Romanian national team coach Razvan Lucescu first time. On 8 February 2011 he made his debut in the game against Ukraine in a tournament in Cyprus. In the season 2011/12 he was a regular fixture in the team of the new coaches Victor Piţurcă. In the 3:4 defeat in a friendly against Slovenia on August 15, 2012, he achieved his first goal. He was then but no longer considered.
