Paul Polansky

Paul Polansky is an American author and Roma activist who fights for the rights of the Roma in Eastern Europe and the Balkans. He also lived with Roma in the last decade in Eastern Europe to explore their linguistic history. and wrote about their lives in the Czech Republic and Kosovo, Serbia and Macedonia various books. Today, he heads the " Kosovo Roma Refugee Foundation " ( KRRF ), an NGO that works with the UN camps in northern Kosovo. From July 1999 to September 2009 he was Head of the use for the Society for Threatened Peoples in Kosovo and Serbia. On 10 December 2004, he received the Human Rights Award of the City of Weimar.

Author

Polansky has published 27 books. Among them are 18 books of poems, as well as non - fictional books - for example, '' UN - Leaded Blood '', which describes the death by poisoning of numerous children in the UN camps in northern Kosovo.
