Paul Ranger
Paul Ranger ( born September 12, 1984 in Whitby, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who plays for the Toronto Maple Leafs in the National Hockey League.
Career
The 1.88 m tall defender started his career in the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Hockey League with the Oshawa Generals before he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2002 as a 183 in the sixth round by the Tampa Bay Lightning.
During the 2004/ 05 lockout season of links Sagittarius was first used in the Tampa Bay Farm Team Springfield Falcons in the American Hockey League after a decent showing in the American Hockey League, he belonged in the following season to the root cadres of the Tampa Bay Lightning. 2007 Ranger was nominated for the taking place in the framework program of the NHL All-Star Game Young Stars Game, where he ran for the team in the Eastern Conference.
For personal reasons, Ranger had almost the entire 2009/10 season was missed and only come in eight NHL games for use. In September 2010, the defender is not also participated in the training camp of the Bolts. Since he was not obliged again to December 1, the Canadian was for the entire season not use authorized in the NHL.
After two seasons out he returned to professional hockey and joined for the 2012/13 season the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League game.
Due to its performance there, he was committed for the 2013/14 NHL season by the Maple Leafs. In March 2014 he was injured seriously in the game against his old club Tampa Bay Lightning.
