Paul Scott (novelist)

Paul Scott, and Paul Mark Scott ( March 25, 1920 in Southgate, † 1 March 1978 in London) was an English author.

He was first a bookkeeper teaching and then served as an intelligence officer of the British Air Force in India. His last novel Staying on was awarded the Booker Prize. Scott, however, died of cancer before he could accept the award.
