Paul Veyne

Paul Veyne ( born June 13, 1930 in Aix -en- Provence ) is a French (old) historian specializing in the history of Rome, and is the École de Paris near.

Life

Paul Veyne studied at the École Normale Supérieure and is a member of the Ecole française de Rome. Since 1976 he has been a professor of Roman history at the Collège de France. Veyne was a close friend of Michel Foucault.
