Paula Ivan

Paula Ivan (born Ilie; born July 20, 1963 in Heresti ) is a retired Romanian middle and long distance runner, Olympic champion in 1988.

In 1987 she finished ninth in the World Cross Country Championships.

At the Olympic Summer Games in Seoul in 1988, she won the gold medal in the 1500 meter run before Laima Baikauskaitė and Tetjana Samolenko - Dorowskych (both URS), and in the 3000 -meter run, she won the silver medal behind Tetjana Samolenko - Dorowskych ( gold) and before Yvonne Murray ( GBR).
