Paulette Dubost

Paulette Dubost; actually Paulette Marie Emma Deplanque ( born October 8, 1910 in Paris, † 21 September 2011 in Longjumeau, Ile -de -France ) was a French actress.

Life

Paulette Dubost was born in 1910 as the daughter of a gas engineer and a singer of the Opéra -Comique. With seven years Dubost joined the Ballet School of the Paris Opera. At the age of 17 years, Paulette Dubost changed as an actress and singer for the operetta. She was engaged at the Bouffes Parisiens and debuted in The Adventures of King Pausole ' by Arthur Honegger on the side of Simone Simon, Edwige Feuillère, Michèle Alfa and Viviane Romance. The piece was played at Bouffes over two years "en suite".

In the aftermath Dubost played at the Folies- Wagram. In the 1930s, Paulette Dubost came also to the film.

Dubost played a total of almost 200 films and television series, many of which have also been shown internationally. She worked with all the major film directors and film actors in France. Add remembered of her film roles especially Ginette in Hôtel du Nord by Marcel Carné, Lisette in Rules of the Game by Jean Renoir, Madame Fernande in pleasure by Max Ophüls, Germaine Pasture in Four in a Jeep by Leopold Lindtberg, their caring housekeeper Johanna in Girls in Uniform by Géza von Radványi and Germaine Fabre in the last Metro by François Truffaut.

From the 1970s she developed an equally successful career in French television.

Paulette Dubost was until last artistically active. For a CD production in 2008 she recited the poem "Les parents " by Arthur Rimbaud.

Dubost married on December 24, 1936 André Ostertag; from her marriage in 1942 was father a child. The couple divorced later.
