Pauli Toivonen
Pauli Toivonen ( born August 22, 1929 in Hämeenlinna, Finland, † 14 February 2005 in Espoo, Finland) was a Finnish rally driver.
In 1966 he won the famous Monte Carlo Rally in 1968, the European Rally Championship.
His two sons Henri and Harri were also a rally driver. The world-class driver Henri Toivonen was, along with his American co-driver Sergio Cresto, on 2 May 1986 during the Corsica Rally in an accident with a Lancia Delta S4 of the controversial and soon banished by the FIA from rallying group B died.
