Paulo Machado

Paulo Ricardo Ribeiro de Jesus Machado ( born March 31, 1986 in Bairro do Cerco, a district of Porto ) is a Portuguese football player.

Career

In the club

Machado learned to play football in the youth of the FC Porto and made his debut in the season 2003/ 04 as part of a Cup game under coach Jose Mourinho in the pros. In summer 2005, he signed a five year contract with the club and was initially loaned to CF Estrela Amadora and then to União Leiria and Leixões SC. In the 2008 / 09 season, another lending led him in the Ligue 1 for AS Saint- Étienne. There he contributed with his performances for relegation. For the season 2009/10 Machado signed a four -year contract with FC Toulouse. For the 2012/13 season Machado moved to Greece Olympiakos Piraeus.

In the National Team

Machado went through the youth teams of his country. In 2003 he won the U-17 European Championship. In addition, he took part in the U- 21 Championship 2007.

On 17 November 2010 he gave under coach Paulo Bento his debut in the senior national team as part of a friendly match against Spain.
