Paulo Teixeira Jorge

Paulo Teixeira Jorge (* 1934, † 26 June 2010 in Luanda ) was an Angolan politician. From 1976 to 1984 he was Minister of Foreign Affairs of his country.

After a school visit in Luanda and Benguela, Jorge studied from 1956 geophysics and chemistry. In the same year he joined the MPLA. After he had worked as a factory worker in Paris from 1963 to 1965, he took over in the wake of the MPLA delegation several times to Egypt and Algeria. After Angola's independence, he took a number of senior roles. At times e was governor of the province of Benguela. In recent years, he was responsible for international relations ( with the exception of economic relations ) in the Central Committee of the MPLA.
