Pavel Badea

Pavel Badea ( born June 10, 1967 in Craiova ) is a former Romanian football player, coach and official. The midfielder played 380 games in the Romanian Divizia A, the South Korean K- League and the Japanese J. League, before he ended his career in 2004.

Career as a player

The career of Pavel Badea started in his home town of Craiova Universitatea Craiova at that counted his time to the best Romanian football clubs. He moved at the age of 16 years on the squad for the first team and came on 5 May 1984, its first use in the highest Romanian football league, the Divizia A (now League 1). Already in the following season he was used regularly and was in the course of the 1985/86 season finally establish himself as a regular player. With Uni Craiova, he played in all cases in front of the field with the League, but could not intervene in the fight for the championship, which was dominated in the second half of the 1980s, Steaua and Dinamo Bucharest. In the summer of 1992 Badea Craiova left and moved abroad to Lausanne Sport in the Swiss National League A. In Lausanne he immediately became a regular player and was able to qualify with the club for three consecutive times for the final round at the Swiss Championship, but without order in the fight to engage the European Cup places. In 1995, he returned after three years returned to his homeland and played again for his former club University of Craiova.

During the winter break 1995/96 Badea received an offer from the South Korean K -League and moved to Suwon Bluewings to the Far East. Even in his first season he won with his club the second half and managed to qualify for the finals for the championship, but it lost to Ulsan Hyundai FC. Also in the South Korean Cup he reached a final defeat against Pohang atom only to a second place. In the following season, the club was unable to repeat the success.

At the beginning of 1998 left Badea South Korea and moved to the Japanese J. League to Bellmare Hiratsuka, but switched after one year to league rivals Kashiwa Reysol, before he came to Avispa Fukuoka another year later. As on the stations previously he could not prevail in Japan permanently and played with his clubs not for the championship. After the descent with Avispa Fukuoka at the end of the 2001 season, he returned to Romania and back first joined FC Extensive Craiova in Divizia B, but returned in the summer of 2002, after only six months of his parent club Uni Craiova. There, he finished his career in 2004, having already had to help out as player-coach during the season so far.

National

Badea played nine games for the Romanian national football team, scoring two goals.
