Pavel Hak

Pavel Hak (* 1962 in Tábor, Czechoslovakia, now Czech Republic ) is a French novelist and playwright. He lives in Paris.

Life

At fifteen, the son of an electrician began to work in a factory. As a young man he fled on his own through Yugoslavia, first to Italy, where he lived for a time illegal. In 1985 he was sent to France and studied philosophy at the Sorbonne. Previously, he published the three novels " Safari ", " Sniper ", " Trans" and the play " Lutte à mort ". " Sniper " has so far been translated as Haks single book into English. A German translation of " Trans" appeared in 2008.
