Pavel Hapal

Pavel Hapal ( born July 27, 1969 in Kroměříž, Czechoslovakia ) is a former Czech football player and current coach.

Playing career

Hapal began playing football at Sokol Břest, at age 13, he moved to SK Sigma Olomouc. Following the departure of Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the UEFA Cup in 1992 against Sigma Olomouc Hapal was bound by its outstanding performance in the games against Leverkusen Bayer. With the proceeds by the transfer Sigma Olomouc erected floodlights at the stadium Andrův.

With Bayer Leverkusen Hapal won the DFB-Pokal 1992 /93. In total he played 86 Bundesliga games and scored three goals before he left Leverkusen towards Spain.

Coaching career

Last Pavel Hapal was coach of the Czech first division club Banik Ostrava, he was released on 30 June 2006. In the 2007 /08 season Hapal coached the Slovakian club FC Nitra, he led ranked Three of the Corgoň league.

In the 2008 /09 season Hapal coached FK Mladá Boleslav. Pavel Hapal is also since August 1, 2008 assistant coach of the Czech national team. Since 2009, he was in personal union trainers and sports managers in the first division MŠK Žilina, with which he could win the 2010 Slovakian champion. In July 2011, his work ended in Žilina.

On October 31, 2011 Hapal signed a contract with the Polish first division Zagłębie Lubin. Here he was in the 2011/2012 season in ninth and also in the 2012/2013 season, his team was able to prove the Ninth Square. After two losses for the season of 2013/2014 season Pavel Hapal was dismissed as manager of Zagłębie Lubin.
