Pavel Ivanovich Melnikov (Russian Павел Иванович Мельников, scientific transliteration Pavel Ivanovich Mel'nikov, pseudonym Andrei Pechersky, Russian Андрей Печерский; * 25 Oktoberjul / 6 November 1818greg in Nizhny Novgorod; † 1 Februarjul / 13. .. February 1883greg. ) was a Russian writer who is known for his two-part novel in the woods and on the mountains, which describes the life of Russian Old Believers in the Volga region Sawolschje.
