Pavel Rosa

Pavel Rosa ( born June 7, 1977 in Most, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech professional ice hockey player who was most recently at the HC Lugano of the National League A under contract.

Career

Pavel Rosa began his career as a hockey player with the CHZ Litvinov, for whom he made ​​his debut in the Czech Extraliga during the season 1994/95. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1995 in the second round than a total of 50 players from the Los Angeles Kings. First, however, he spent two years playing for the Hull Olympiques in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, with whom he won the Memorial Cup as champions of the Canadian Hockey League, the Coupe du Président as the winner of the QMJHL, and then 1997.

After the attackers had missed most of the 1997/98 season due to a head injury, he stood in the following season in 29 games in which he scored 16 points scorer for the Los Angeles Kings in the National Hockey League on the ice. In the season 1999/2000 Rosa graduated only three NHL games and played the rest of the season for their farm team, the Long Beach Ice Dogs of the International Hockey League, so he returned to Europe, where he was a 2000 to 2002 for each year in the Finnish SM- liiga was active for HPK Hämeenlinna and Jokerit Helsinki.

Following Rosa received a new contract with the Los Angeles Kings, for which he, however, only four games in the NHL denied in the following two seasons. Instead, he ran for their farm team, the Manchester Monarchs, up from the American Hockey League. In summer 2004, the winger received a contract with HK Dynamo Moscow in the Russian Super League, with whom he immediately became Champion of Russia. After he finished the 2005/06 season at Timrå IK in the Swedish Elitserien, the Czech was on 29 August 2006 committed as a free agent from HK Avangard Omsk, which he left during the season 2008/ 09 in order for Rögle BK to play the Elitserien.

At the beginning of the 2010/11 season until October 2010 had a pink short-term use in the National League A in Fribourg- Gottéron. Then he returned to Kärpät Oulu. In January 2011, Rosa has signed a contract for two years with Fribourg- Gottéron with effect from the season 2011/12.

After 13 operations in the 2012/13 season for Fribourg- Gottéron his contract in mid-December 2012, terminated prematurely. Rosa was then a few days later committed by the HC Lugano as a replacement for Patrice Bergeron and received a contract until the end of the season 2012/13.
