Pavel Trakhanov

Pavel Sergeyevich Trachanow (Russian Павел Сергеевич Траханов; born March 21, 1978 in Moscow, Russian SFSR, † 7 September 2011 in Tunoschna near Yaroslavl ) was a Russian ice hockey player who during his career for the HK CSKA Moscow, Severstal Cherepovets, HK MVD Balaschicha and Atlant Mytischtschi played in the Super League and Kontinental Hockey League.

Career

Pawel Trachanow began his career as a hockey player with the HK CSKA Moscow, for its first team, he was active in the Russian Super League from 1995 to 2005. Then the defender moved to the league rivals Severstal Cherepovets, for which he spent two years in the top Russian league. In summer 2007, he signed a contract with HK MVD Balaschicha, with the participated in the newly formed Kontinental Hockey League from the 2008/09 season. In his first KHL game time Trachanow scored three goals in 47 games and was preparing another ten before. The 2010/11 season spent the links Sagittarius at Atlant Mytischtschi before he signed a contract with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in May 2011. On September 7, 2011, he died in a plane crash near Yaroslavl killed.
