Pavla Vykopalová

Pavla Vykopalová ( born March 23, 1972 in Prague ) is a Czech soprano.

Life

Pavla Vykopalová has completed her vocal studies at the Prague Conservatory in 1993, after which she was a member of the Prague Philharmonic Choir. A solo career began as a mezzo- soprano under the educational guidance of Lenka Šmídová and since 1997 by Jiří Kotouč. In 2006 she moved to the soprano and continued her education in private lessons with Marie Urbanová continued. She has operatic roles from Baroque to the 20th century included in the repertoire, the opera house, she is also dedicated to the oratorios, cantatas and song literature, current works.

During her studies at the Conservatory, she performed in the performances of Opera Mozart in Prague, after graduation, she received a 1988 commitment at the Opera Theatre of Pilsener. Since January 2009 she has been a member of the ensemble of the National Theatre Brno, at the same time it occurs since 1999 as a permanent guest of the Opera of the National Theatre and Prague State Opera. In 2003 she sang the role of Karolka in Janacek 's "Jenufa " in the production of the Théâtre du Châtelet. 2011-12 she took over the lead role in " Jenufa " in the co-production of three opera houses in France - Rennes, Limoges and Reims.

For the role of Mařenka ( Smetana: The Bartered Bride, directed by Ondřej Havelka at the National Theatre in Brno ), she was nominated for the 2006 Czech Thalia Prize. Another nomination for the Thalia Prize 2012 she was awarded the role of Mila ( Janáček: Osud; National Theatre in Brno ).
