Pavlos Geroulanos

Pavlos Geroulanos (also Yeroulanos Greek Παύλος Γερουλάνος, born 1966 in Athens ) is a Greek economist and politician. Between 2010 and 2012 he was Minister of Culture and Tourism.

Biography

Pavlos Geroulanos comes from the ancient family of academics Geroulanos from Lixouri and is großmütterlicherseits distant relative of former Foreign Minister Georgios Streit ( 1868-1948 ). He studied at Williams College in London, Economics and Business Administration at Harvard at MIT. At times he was a member of the politician Greville Janner. Back in Greece, he took over the leadership of the company founded by his father in the Bay of Lixouri Kefalonia Fisheries fish farm Ichthyotrofia Kefalonia (Greek Ιχθυοτροφεία Κεφαλλονιάς ). He specialized operation on ecological breeding of high-quality fish for export. He was surprise and employees by Giorgos Papandreou in 1999. From 2006, he held various offices and successfully ran in 2009 as a deputy. In 2010 he was appointed Minister of Culture and Tourism.
