Peace and Development Party

The Party for Peace and Development ( Somali: Iyo Xisbiga Nabadda Horumarka, English Peace and Development Party, PDP) is a social democratic political party in Somalia. It was founded in 2011 by the current President of Somalia Sheikh Hassan Mohamud. The PDP is the first political party after the civil war in 1992.

All 155 PDP members have Hassan Sheikh Mohamud elected on 17 and 18 April 2011 for the next three years as their leader.
