Peace of Pressburg (1491)
The Peace of Pressburg was signed in 1491 between Maximilian I and by Vladislav II.
After the death of Matthias Corvinus on April 6, 1490 Maximilian I recaptured the occupied areas of Lower Austria and Vienna and also fell in Hungary in order to secure the crown. However, he was defeated by Vladislav. On 7 November, the former counterparties entered into a peace treaty in which the reign of Vladislav Maximilian recognized in Hungary and at the same time secured the succession, if Vladislav should die without male heirs.
