Peccatum
Peccatum (lat. sin ) was a Dark Metal band from Norway. Their influences range from Black Metal, Progressive Metal, Symphonic Metal and Gothic Metal to classical and opera.
Biography
Peccatum was founded by the singer Ihriel ( Heidi Solberg Tveitan ), her husband Ihsahn ( Thou Shalt Suffer, Emperor ), and her brother Lord PZ 1999. On the EP Oh, My Regrets ( 2000) and were referred by Per Eriksen ( cams ), supported Trond Villa ( Folque ) and Helene Vaage, Eriksen on the album Amor Fati. After the departure of Lord PZ (2004) also changed the band's sound. The with the drummer Knut Aalefjær (Helge Lien Trio, Moments Notice ) and the singer Einar Solberg recorded album Lost in Reverie is much more avant-garde than the previous albums.
Lost in Reverie and the EP The Moribund People 2005, which Jarle Havrås ( The Boots Band) helped out as a drummer, both of which were produced under the label Mnemosyne Productions, part of which Ihriel and Ihsahn and is guided by them. However, the band split up in the summer of 2006, as Ihsahn wanted to concentrate on the Emperor reunion and on his solo career.
