Pedro Barbosa

Pedro Barbosa [ pedɾu bɐɾbɔzɐ ] ( born August 6, 1970 in Gondomar, Portugal), full name is Pedro Alexandre dos Santos Barbosa, is a former Portuguese national football team.

Life

Barbosa started his professional career with Vitória Guimarães. 1995, he moved to Sporting Lisbon. The club he remained ten years faithfully and won two championships and one National Cup. In 2005, he was also with the club in the final of the UEFA Cup against CSKA Moscow, the game was, however, lost 1:3. After the season, he ended his active career.

Barbosa was between 1992 and 2002 the Portuguese national team. In 22 international matches, scoring five goals. He participated in the 1996 European Championships and the 2002 World Cup.

After having worked as an expert with the Portuguese stations Sport TV after his first career end, he's in July 2006 Sports Director at Sporting.
