Pedro Nunes (racing driver)

Pedro Henrique Nunes ( born August 22, 1988 in São Paulo) is a Brazilian racing driver. He started up in 2009 under the name Pedro Enrique. Since 2010 he replaces Pedro Nunes. He was driving in the GP3 Series in 2010 and 2011.

Career

After Enrique began his motorsport career in karting, he moved in 2006 to Formula racing and competed in the South American Formula 3. His debut season he finished in tenth place overall. In addition, he stepped up to a race of Brazil's Formula Renault. In 2007 he competed in ten races of the North European Formula Renault, which he finished in 30th place, and in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup, where he remained without points. He also appeared in his home four races of the South American Formula 3. In 2008, Enrique focused on his involvement in the South American Formula 3 and was starting for Cesário Fórmula with five wins runner-up.

2009 Enrique returned back to Europe and started for Manor Motorsport in the Formula 3 Euro Series. It did not succeed to score points and he finished the season 27th overall. He also appeared as a guest driver in the British Formula 3 Championship. 2010 joined the racers, who took from this season under the name of Pedro Nunes, in the newly formed GP3 series with the French team ART Grand Prix. At the end of the season, he finished 24th overall. 2011 Nunes remained at his team, who ran as Lotus ART from this season, and played his second season in the GP3 Series. Two events left in the season, he was replaced by Richie Stanaway. While his teammates and his successor victories recorded, Nunes remained without points. The season he finished 32nd overall. He also took part in a race weekend of the British Formula 3 Championship, scoring a third place.
