Pedro Serrano (sailor)

Pedro Serrano was a Spanish sailor. Serrano had the rank of captain. He became famous as a survivor of a shipwreck in 1526 that left him stranded on a sand bank in the Caribbean. It was not until 1534 he was rescued.

The atoll Serrana Bank is named in his honor.
