Pegasids

The meteor stream of Pegasids are active between July 7 and July 13, where it is a weak meteor shower, which has a ZHR of only 3 meteors / hour during its peak on July 9. However, the meteors have an entry speed of about 70 km / s

The radiant of the Pegasids is located in the constellation Pegasus, about 5 degrees west of the star α Pegasi. The parent body of this meteor stream is probably the comet C/1979 Y1 ( Bradfield ).

For Central Europe has to be the best observation time, the second half of the night, since here the radiant reaches a sufficient height above the horizon.
