Geographical Location
The municipality is located in the forested mountains.
Neighboring communities
Pegestorf bordered to the north Hehlen, on the east by the city Bodenwerder, to the south and to the west by Bevern Brevörde and Ottenstein.

History
Pegestorf is mentioned in a document in 840 for the first time in the nomenclature of goods of the monastery of Corvey named " Perderestorpe ". 1330 the site was erwöhnt in a deed of the Counts of Everstein.

Culture and sights
The village church, the church belongs to the parish of Minden wood floor Werder, was built in 1749.
Above stone mill, the mill is with mountain hut and a fantastic view. Here is the built in 1927 Senator Meyer Memorial, which commemorates the Senator Meyer Hamelin as the founder of the persons steam navigation on the upper Weser.
